Netflix will remove the phone number scenes from the 'Squid Game' after receiving complaints.

"We are working to resolve this matter, including editing scenes with phone numbers where necessary"

After a real phone number was mistakenly used in the episode, Netflix will delete scenes featuring phone numbers from Squid Game.

The immensely successful series, which is expected to be Netflix's most popular, has been criticized for using a genuine man's phone number in the show.

The number of a Korean citizen was printed on a business card in the first episode of the series. The man in question has been receiving thousands of calls from admirers as a result of the show's international success.

The incident drew the attention of the UK regulator Ofcom, who chastised Netflix for failing to notice the issue.

The streaming site and the show's production company, Siren Pictures Inc, are currently trying to fix the issue.

The report comes after Netflix was sued by a South Korean internet provider due to a significant increase in traffic as a result of the streaming service's popularity. The rise, according to the supplier, was caused by an inflow of viewers watching shows like Squid Game.

SK claims that Netflix is the second-largest traffic generator in South Korea, behind YouTube, and that other huge companies such as Amazon, Apple, and Facebook all pay network usage fees that the top two do not.

Elsewhere, star Jung Ho-yeon has opened up about her breakout role in the hit TV series and what she plans to do following her success.

“I think I wanted confirmation that I was really suitable for the character,” she added. With Hwang’s advice and senior actors’ support, I was able to successfully complete my given role in Squid Game,” she told The Korea Herald.
