Lil Nas X, Bella Poarch, Grimes, and more are releasing TikTok NFTs

Because there is no such thing as peace in the age of man, TikTok has teamed up with a number of artists, celebrities, and internet entities, like Lil Nas X, Bella Poarch, and Grimes, to produce a collection of non-fungible tokens. Six “culturally significant” TikTok films in the form of one-of-one NFTs inspired these TikTok Top Moments, as the firm calls them. They'll be auctioned off with a selection of limited edition NFTs that TikTok will offer weekly throughout October.

The partnerships, creators, and new material that are being tokenized and auctioned differ. On October 6th, rapper Lil Nas X will release a collaboration with artist Rudy Willingham, while Grimes will collaborate with Brittany Broski (“Kombucha Girl”) and Bella Poarch separately. TikTok's full list of collaborations goes into greater depth about these choices and others, but inexplicably leaves out information on how creators would be paid.
