MSAFIRI ZAWOSE: A Tanzanian musician who plays abroad despite using a traditional instrument.

Indigenous music in Tanzania does not thrive in the face of new generation music that is given enough time in the media and even its artists get a chance to participate in major concerts outside and inside Tanzania.
Despite the popularity of the music, Zawose has been a major performer in Europe and recently a collaboration song with Feiertag_Music artist called Trepidation has been included in 122 songs to be used in the world Fifa Games.
Msafiri Zawose who is a traditional music artist from Tanzania has made a name for himself in continental Europe and the United States for the type of music he makes.
Msafiri who uses traditional instruments such as harp and marimba in his music believes that one day this indigenous music will gain respect in Tanzania and elsewhere in Africa.
